On 23 November 2017, His Excellency Mr. Christian Rehren Bargetto, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Ambassador of Chile to Thailand. Both sides then discussed several areas of Thai – Chilean cooperation, including military and defence, in which the Ambassador of Chile informed that Chile had recently sent high level navy officers to participate in the ASEAN International Fleet Review 2017 during 16 – 22 November 2017 in Chonburi Province. The Chilean side also reaffirmed its reciprocal support arrangement under which Chile will support Thailand’s candidatures in a number of multilateral frameworks.
