          Following the attacks at the churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria of Egypt on 9 April 2017, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-Cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand sent a message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, while H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as follows:

          1. Message of Condolence from Prime Minister of Thailand to President of the Arab Republic of Egypt

Excellency,

                   I am deeply saddened to learn of the heinous attacks at the churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria on 9 April 2017, on one of the holiest days of Christianity, which resulted in the loss of lives and injuries.

                    On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I wish to extend my deepest condolences and sympathy
to the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt and through Your Excellency, to the bereaved families as well as those who were injured in these horrendous acts of terrorism.

                   The Royal Thai Government condemns terrorism in all its forms in the strongest of terms and stands firm with the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the international community in the fight against terrorism.

                   Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.

          2. Message of Condolence from Minister of Foreign Affairs to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt

Excellency,

                   I am profoundly saddened to learn of the horrendous acts of terrorism which took place on 9 April 2017 at the two churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria of Egypt causing loss of innocent lives and injuries.

                   I would like to extend my sincere condolences and sympathy to those who lost their loved ones and wish speedy recoveries to the injured from these despicable acts of terrorism.

                   The Royal Thai Government condemns this horrific act and all forms of terrorism in the strongest of terms and stands firm with the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt in its stand and fight against terrorism.

                   Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
