On the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 87th Birthday Anniversary, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a reception to celebrate this auspicious occasion on Thursday 4th December 2014 at Maritim Hotel Berlin. The event was honoured by the speech by Mr. Michael Fuchs, member of Bundestag as a Guest of Honour, as well as by the attendance of more than 400 guests from German government agencies, diplomatic corps and members of German business sector and institutions in Germany. H.E. Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, Ambassador of Thailand to Germany, and Mr. Fuchs delivered speech to honour His Majesty’s determination and devotion to improve living conditions of Thai people through various development projects. At the reception, a number of music by Royal Composition was played as well as Thai fruits and vegetable carving and Thai flower garland making were demonstrated. World’s famous Thai food were also served at the buffets and freshly cooked at various food stations at the event. 

 

            On December 7th, 2014, H.E. Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, Ambassador of Thailand to Germany, hosted a reception at Hotel Maritim ProArte Berlin for the Thai community in Germany to celebrate the 87th Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand.  Almost 600 guests joined the singing of the Royal Anthem performed by the Thai students, and witnessed the presentation ceremonies of the Royal Decorations for 5 Thai citizens who have continued their good works in assisting Thai people in Germany, Certificates of Appreciation for 4 German citizens who have devoted themselves for Thailand and Thai people, and Certificates from the Ministry of Labour for 3 outstanding volunteers.  Other highlights that also drew great attention from all the guests were various beautiful cultural performances by Thai children in Germany and performance by, Mr. Sawis Techabhuwanon, invited actor from Thailand.
