On July 5, 2014, H.E. Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation led Team Thailand in Moscow including Colonel Paniwat Subrungruang, Defence Attaché, Mr. Manan Boonyachai, General Manager of the Office of Thai Airways International in Moscow and Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Counsellor (economic officer) to visit Charoen Pokphand Foods Oversea Company Limited (Russia and the CIS) in Kaluga, suburb area of Moscow upon the invitation of Mr. Buree Srina, Senior Vice President, CPFO - Russia.
The Thai Ambassador and the delegation were pleased to learn about the company’s progress and development since it was founded in 2004. Presently, the investment value of the CPFO - Russia is more than 2 billion baht with its business expansion from the pig farming to the high - tech feed mill factory and the future planning for chicken farming. The company also expands its joint venture with the local entrepreneurs and gives special attention to its corporate social policy towards the good relationship and community development with its neighborhood.
On this occasion, the Thai Ambassador reiterated the policy of the Royal Thai Government to support and promote the investment of Thai entrepreneurs overseas. He also shared his views with the CPFO executives that it is now the right timing for Thailand, especially her business community, to benefit from the main policy of the Russian government that has placed her high priority in strengthening the economic, trade and investment cooperation with countries in the Asia.
