On June 25, 2014  Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation hosted dinner for a Thai delegation led by Mr. Sorravis Thaneto, Deputy Director - General of the Department of Livestocks Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand during their working visit to the Russian Federation from June 25 - 28, 2014. Mrs. Kalayanee Sirikul, Minister (commercial affairs) and Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Counsellor (economic affairs) also attended.

              Considering that Russia is an important trading partner of Thailand for food and agricultural products, the Thai Ambassador pointed out that the Thai side should give priority to cooperate closely with the Russian authorities, Federal Service for Sanitary and Phytosanitary of the Russian Federation, in particular so as to reduce  the obstacles on the importation of the said Thai products. In addition, the Thai Ambassador was informed of the potentials for her quality raw materials to serve the production of animal feedings in Thailand.

             The Royal Thai Embassy continues conducting various projects to promote Thailand’s food and agricultural products in Russia. Among them, the joint cooperation between the Embassy, the Park Hyatt Ararat in Moscow, the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and the Doikham Food Product Company Limited (Thailand), together with Team Thailand in Moscow will be done so as to organize Thai Food Festival in Russia 2014 at the Park Hyatt Ararat Hotel in Moscow from September 15 - 28, 2014. This special event will, then, be considered as an annual event of the Embassy.
