On 8 July 2014, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan met with H.E. Ms. Iffat Imran Gardezi, the newly appointed Director General of East Asian and Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. On this occasion, Ambassador explained and updated on the political situation in Thailand and reassured Director General of peace and stability in Thailand.  Ambassador and Director General also expressed satisfaction with the current close and cordial relations happily existing between the two countries.  Both sides also discussed the 3rd Meeting of Thailand-Pakistan Joint Economic Commission (JEC) and the case regarding the death of Master Hakmal Raisani. Director General expressed her readiness to work with the Embassy in the said matters.
