On 30 June 2014, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan met with H.E. Mr. Abdul Salik Khan, Director General of East Asian and Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.  Ambassador and Director General expressed satisfaction with the current close and cordial relations happily existing between the two countries.  On this occasion, Ambassador explained and updated the political situation in Thailand including the policy and objectives of the National Council for Peace and Order and reassured Director General of peace and stability in Thailand. Moreover, both sides discussed Thailand’s candidature to the Human Rights Council for the term 2015-2017 and the death of Master Hakmal Raisani. Director General expressed his readiness to work with the Embassy in the said matters.
