On 30 June 2014, at the Royal Thai Embassy, H.E.Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ambassador of Thailand, Group Captain Suksom Sukasam, Defence and Air Attache, Captain Apichai Sompolgrunk, RTN, Naval Attache and Assistant Defence Attache, Mr. Krit Tangkanarat, Minister Counsellor, Mr. Mongkon Manuskiattikul, Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Monsak Jangariyawong, First Secretary, attended the meeting with Thai professors and students from Canberra to inform about the current political situation in Thailand.
