On 14 June 2014 His Excellency Lt.Cdr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation had a discussion and hosted dinner to Dr.Suwat Sidthilaw, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, who participated in the Mega Events for Sustainable Tourism Development in Sochi between 14 and 19 June 2014 on behalf of the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand. Both of them discussed salient points to promote the cooperation on tourism between Thailand and Russia as well as security measures for Russian tourists, which the Russian side has considered as a priority, to provide confidence to the Russian tourists, visiting Thailand almost 2 million people in 2013.
