On 17 February 2021, Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, welcomed H.E. Mr. Meir Shlomo, Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, during a courtesy call upon the former’s assumption of duty. Both sides were pleased with the close bilateral relations between Thailand and Israel and discussed ways to enhance relations at all levels, including sending Thai workers to temporarily work in Israel’s agricultural sector, promoting trade and investment, cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture and development, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
