On 30 September 2019, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, delivered Thailand’s statement at the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United States.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand stressed the importance of multilateral partnership and cooperation to address global challenges, such as climate change, natural disasters and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To that end, as Chair of ASEAN this year, Thailand has initiated the theme “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability,” highlighting partnership as a tool for achieving sustainable development. 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand also highlighted the three summits during the UN High-level Week, on Universal Health Coverage, Climate Action and SDGs, that the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand attended. He further reiterated Thailand’s readiness to enhance partnership with the international community both at the regional and international levels, as well as in sharing the concept of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as a pathway towards the attainment of SDGs.
