H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Amir of the State of Kuwait on 29 September 2020, as follows:

Excellency,
I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait. In this moment of sorrow and bereavement, I wish to express my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to you and the people of Kuwait.
His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was not only a prominent statesman and humanitarian leader, but also a great diplomat, whose instrumental role has helped shape Kuwait’s foreign policy today and earned him the well-deserved title as a peacemaker. His pioneering success in uniting the GCC countries and directing the course of the joint GCC actions has benefited the regional peace and security as well as advanced the prosperity of the people of the Gulf region.
His Highness has won distinguished admirations and respects among the leaders and peoples of the world. May the Almighty Allah give His Highness eternal rest and may His Highness’s soul rest in peace.
