On 20 March 2025, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya presided over the ceremony to receive the Buddha Statue "Phra Phuttha Sirindhorn Dheparattana Mongkhon Phuwadonsanti" graciously given to the Embassy by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand.
Phra Phuttha Sirindhorn Dheparattana Mongkhon Phuwadonsanti is a 20-inch-tall, 10-kilogram metal Buddha statue in the walking posture which symbolizes the Buddha as the jewel of the deities, possessing the wisdom that brings blessings, peace, and tranquility to the land. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the consecration ceremony of the Buddha statue on 22 July 2023, in the Main Chapel of Suthat Thepwararam Temple in Bangkok and graciously gives statues to various sectors, both within Thailand and abroad, including Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates-General worldwide. The intention is to give blessings, bring peace, and protection against disasters, as well as to promote the enduring prosperity of the nation, religion, and the monarchy as well as the well-being of all Thai citizens and peoples worldwide.
