To commemorate the "Nawamintha Maharaj Day" in honour of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great Memorial Day on 13 October 2023, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya led the Embassy staff, along with the Thai Community in New Zealand, to perform merit-making ceremonies to express their gratitude and appreciation for the remarkable contributions of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great to Thailand and the Thai people, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington. His Majesty's dedication has left an indelible mark on Thailand's advancement and well-being. His commitment to the betterment of the nation has not only resulted in tangible progress but has also fostered happiness and peace among the Thai people. His legacy is not confined to Thailand alone; it is recognized and admired by peoples around the world who value his significant roles and contributions.

On this occasion, on Friday 13 October 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, and the Thai community also did volunteer activities by donating blood to the blood bank of New Zealand in honour of His Majesty.
