ระหว่างวันที่ ๙ - ๑๒ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๗ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน ได้จัดหน่วยเคลื่อนที่ให้บริการกงสุลสัญจร ณ วัดญาณประทีป นครโอ๊คแลนด์ ตั้งแต่เวลา ๐๙.๐๐ – ๑๙.๐๐ น. โดยมีชุมชนไทยที่พำนักอาศัยในนครโอ๊คแลนด์ และเขตใกล้เคียงมารับบริการกว่า ๓๙๕ ราย โดยในจำนวนนี้ มีผู้ขอรับบริการทำหนังสือเดินทาง ๒๓๐ ราย เอกสารเดินทางฉุกเฉิน ๑ ราย ทำบัตรประจำตัวประชาชน ๙๓ ราย รวมถึงงานนิติกรณ์ รับรองเอกสาร และให้คำปรึกษางานกงสุลแก่ชุมชนไทยกว่า ๗๑ ราย ทั้งนี้ เนื่องจากมีผู้สนใจมาขอรับบริการเป็นจำนวนมาก สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ จึงได้ขยายเวลาการให้บริการในวันที่ ๑๒ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๗ เพิ่มขึ้นอีกครึ่งวันจนถึง เวลา ๑๒.๐๐ น. ซึ่งการจัดหน่วยเคลื่อนที่ให้บริการกงสุลสัญจรครั้งนี้ สามารถช่วยเหลือชุมชนไทยประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายในการเดินทางไปขอรับบริการกงสุลที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้มากกว่า ๔ ล้านบาท

นคร Auckland (ออกเสียง Māori: Tāmaki Makaurau) เป็นเมืองที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในนิวซีแลนด์มีประชากรประมาณ ๑,๔๗๘,๘๐๐ คน (ข้อมูล ณ เดือน มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๖) และมีชุมชนไทยอาศัยอยู่หนาแน่นที่สุดในนิวซีแลนด์ ประมาณ ๕,๐๐๐ คน

ในการนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ใคร่ขอขอบคุณวัดญาณประทีปที่ได้สนับสนุนสถานที่ อุปกรณ์ และการอำนวยความสะดวกในด้านต่าง ๆ ขอขอบคุณชุมชนไทยในพื้นที่ รวมถึงจิตอาสาทุกท่านที่ให้ความร่วมมือและช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ประชาชนที่มาขอรับบริการในครั้งนี้ ทำให้การจัดหน่วยเคลื่อนที่ครั้งนี้สำเร็จลุล่วงไปได้ด้วยดี ทั้งนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ มีกำหนดจัดหน่วยเคลื่อนที่ให้บริการกงสุลสัญจร  ณ วัดพุทธสามัคคี เมืองเบลนิม ในวันที่ ๒๒ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๗ โดยสามารถติดตามข่าวสารสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ทางเว็บไซต์ https://wellington.thaiembassy.org เฟสบุค https://www.facebook.com/thaiembassy.wellington และอินสตาแกรม https://www.instagram.com/thailandinwellington

During 9 - 12 July 2024, from 09:00 - 19:00, the Royal Thai Embassy has organized a Consular Mobile Unit  for the Thai community in Auckland and adjacent towns to provide services such as Thai passports, Emergency travel document, Thai ID cards, and other legalised documents. Due to the high number of people seeking services, the Embassy has extended its services on 12 July 2024 until 12:00 PM. The organisation of the mobile consular service this time has helped the Thai community save more than 4 million baht in travel expenses to receive consular services at the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington.

Auckland, pronounced as Tāmaki Makaurau in Māori, is the largest city in New Zealand, with a population of 1,478,800 people (as of June 2023), and has the highest concentration of Thai communities in New Zealand, with about 5,000 people.

The Embassy wishes to express appreciation to Watyarnprateep Buddhist Temple for providing facilities, equipment and volunteers to support the Embassy’s consular mission.
