เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๗ Prof. Guy Littlefair ตำแหน่ง Vice-Chancellor International และ Dean of the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies ณ Auckland University of Technology (AUT) ได้เข้าพบหารือกับนายวราวุธ ภู่อภิญญา เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบัน AUT กับไทย รวมถึงกิจกรรมที่สามารถจัดร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ และชุมชนไทยในอนาคต
โดยที่ผ่านมา AUT มีความร่วมมือกับสถาบันการศึกษาของไทย เปิดศูนย์การเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ Thai – New Zealand Centre ที่มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลธัญบุรี และปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษาไทยศึกษาอยู่ที่ AUT ๑๔๕ คน
AUT เป็นสถาบันร่วมสมัยที่มุ่งเน้นการเรียนการสอนด้านนวัตกรรมและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และได้รับการจัดอันดับในระดับต้น ๆ ของมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลก มีนักศึกษาประมาณ ๒๙,๐๐๐ คน โดย AUT มุ่งรักษาคุณภาพและความเป็นเลิศทางการศึกษาและการค้นคว้าวิจัยและบูรณาการเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลในการเรียนและการปฏิบัติงาน
On 15 May 2024, Prof. Guy Littlefair, Vice-Chancellor, International and Dean of the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) made a call on Mr. Waravuth Pouapinya, Ambassador of Thailand at the Royal Thai Embassy, to discuss ways and means to collaborate between AUT and Thailand, including co-organizing activities with the Embassy and the Thai community in the future.
AUT has recently established the “Thai – New Zealand Centre '' to teach English for Thai students at the Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in a suburb of Bangkok. There are currently 145 Thai students studying at AUT.
The AUT has consistently been ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide. It is dedicated to maintaining quality and excellence in education and research, and integrating digital technology with classrooms and workplace experiences.
