On Friday, 31 March 2023, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya and representatives from the Thai community in Napier and Hastings donated a sum of NZ $8720 to Ms Annette Brosnan Deputy Mayor of Napier to help relieve difficulties for those affected by Cyclone Gabrielle in Hawk’s Bay last February. The money came from the charity fund raising at the Thai Embassy in Wellington on 9 March 2023, and some were added up from the Thai Community in Napier and Hastings through the Thai Buddhist Monastery in Napier. The Royal Thai Embassy commends these charitable activities of the Thai Community in sharing their care and concern to our dear local friends.
