Zhejiang Party Secretary Visits Thailand 15-18 November 2023






   

H.E. Mr. Yi Lianhong, Secretary of Communist Party of China (CPC) Zhejiang Provincial Committe and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, visited Thailand from 15-18 November 2023. This was Mr. Yi's first overseas trip after assuming his current position in December 2022 and the relaxation of COVID-19 measures in China in early 2023. 

นายอี้ เลี่ยนหง เลขาธิการพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์มณฑลเจ้อเจียงและประธานสภาประชาชนมณฑลเจ้อเจียง ได้เยือนประเทศไทยระหว่างวันที่ ๑๕ - ๑๘ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖ โดยเป็นการเยือนต่างประเทศครั้งแรกของนายอี้ฯ ภายหลังเข้ารับตำแหน่งปัจจุบันเมื่อธันวาคม ๒๕๖๕ และหลังการแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-๑๙

The visit further enhanced overall relations between Thailand and China, as well as Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). On 17 November 2023, Secretary Yi met with high-level representatives and executives of Thailand, namely, H.E. Mr. Atthaniti Disatha-amnarj, Privy Councillor, H.E. Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, and H.E. Ms. Pimphattra Wichaikul, Minister of Industry. In addition, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a welcoming dinner for Secretary Yi on 15 November 2023.

การเยือนครั้งนี้เป็นโอกาสอันดีในการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ในภาพรวมระหว่างไทยกับจีน มณฑลเจ้อเจียง และเขตเศรษฐกิจสามเหลี่ยมปากแม่น้ำแยงซี (Yangtze River Delta: YRD) โดยเมื่อวันที่ ๑๗ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖ นายอี้ฯ ได้พบหารือกับผู้แทนและผู้บริหารระดับสูงของไทย ได้แก่ นายอรรถนิติ ดิษฐอำนาจ องคมนตรี นายภูมิธรรม เวชยชัย รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์ และนางสาวพิมพ์ภัทรา วิชัยกุล รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม รวมทั้งนายศรัณย์  เจริญสุวรรณ ปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ในนามของรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการ กระทรววงการต่างประเทศ ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพอาหารค่ำเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นายอี้ฯ เมื่อวันที่ ๑๕ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖

In promoting cooperation with the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) of Thailand, particularly Rayong Province which has been a friendship city with Zhejiang since 2011, on 16 November 2023 Secretary Yi met with Mr. Triphob Wongtrirat, Governor of Rayong, and visited the Thai - Chinese Industry Park in Rayong jointly managed by Amata Group of Thailand and Holley Group of Zhejiang. This industrial park is an example of successful Thailand - China economic cooperation that hosts over 230 companies with 80 from Zhejiang. 

นายอี้ฯ ได้ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือกับเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (Eastern Economic Corridor: EEC) ของไทย โดยเฉพาะจังหวัดระยอง ซึ่งเป็นเมืองคู่มิตรกับมณฑลเจ้อเจียงตั้งแต่ปี ๒๕๕๔ โดยเมื่อวันที่ ๑๖ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖ นายอี้ฯ ได้พบหารือกับนายไตรภพ วงศ์ไตรรัตน์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดระยอง และเยี่ยมชมนิคมอุตสาหกรรมไทย - จีนที่จังหวัดระยอง ซึ่งบริหารโดยบริษัท อมตะ ร่วมกับบริษัท Holley Group จากมณฑลเจ้อเจียง โดยนิคมอุตสาหกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นที่ตั้งของกว่า ๒๓๐ บริษัท ซึ่ง ๘๐ บริษัทมาจากมณฑลเจ้อเจียง

To further advance concrete partnership between Thailand and Zhejiang, on 17 November 2023 Secretary Yi chaired the China (Zhejiang) - Thailand Cooperation Exchange Conference at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. At this event, 26 cooperation projects were signed, with total value of cooperation around USD 1 billion covering the areas of manufacturing, new energy, e-commerce, procurement of agricultural products, financial service, medical research, education as well as culture and tourism. 

วันที่ ๑๗ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖ นายอี้ฯ ยังได้เป็นประธานการประชุม China (Zhejiang) - Thailand Cooperation Exchange Conference ที่ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ โดยมีการลงนามข้อตกลงความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับมณฑลเจ้อเจียงรวม ๒๖ โครงการ มูลค่าประมาณ ๑ พันล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ครอบคลุมด้านอุตสาหกรรมการผลิต พลังงานใหม่ e-commerce สินค้าเกษตร การบริการทางการเงิน การแพทย์ การศึกษา และวัฒนธรรมและการท่องเที่ยว

During this visit, Secretary Yi also met with leading Thai enterprises, including CP Group which is Thailand's largest investor in China and Zhejiang in areas such as food industry, smart farming, shopping malls and real estate. He also met with the overseas Zhejiang business community in Thailand. 

นอกจากนี้ นายอี้ฯ ได้แลกเปลี่ยนกับผู้แทนภาคเอกชนชั้นนำในไทย รวมถึงผู้บริหารบริษัท CP ซึ่งเป็นนักลงทุนรายใหญ่ที่สุดของไทยในจีนและเจ้อเจียงในด้านอาหาร เกษตรอัจฉริยะ ห้างสรรพสินค้า และอสังหาริมทรัพย์ ตลอดจนพบหารือกับนักธุรกิจเจ้อเจียงในประเทศไทย 

Ms. Prinat Apirat, Consul-General of Thailand in Shanghai, accompanied Secretary Yi to Thailand and will continue to build on the successful outcomes of this trip.
