  1. Developments on the Situation in the Middle East
  • The situation in the region remains volatile, with ongoing retaliatory attacks between the main parties to the conflict, as well as continued attacks targeting countries in the Gulf region.
  • Despite reports of ongoing diplomatic efforts, the situation remains fragile and requires close monitoring, particularly as negotiations have been uncertain and may be affected at any time by developments on the ground.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to urge Thai nationals to consider leaving high-risk areas as soon as possible and to closely follow updates and guidance through official communication channels. Thai nationals are also encouraged to register their residence and contact information with the Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates-General responsible for their respective areas.

 

  1. Developments on Assistance Provided to Thai Nationals in the Area and Other Actions Undertaken
  • Regarding the three Thai crew members on board the cargo vessel Mayurina Naree, the Ministry continues to closely monitor the situation and is coordinating closely with relevant parties, following the successful access to the vessel through a joint operation by Iran and Oman. Efforts are ongoing to recover the vessel and assist the crew members. The Ministry will provide updates as soon as further information becomes available.
  • The remains of Mr. Chaiwat Waewnil, who passed away in Israel, are scheduled to arrive in Thailand today at approximately 12.45 hrs. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Labour will receive the remains at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
  • The Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv continues to urge Thai nationals in Israel to exercise heightened caution and strictly follow safety advisories issued by the authorities.
  • The Royal Thai Embassy in Tehran continues to maintain contact with Thai nationals in Iran, providing information and necessary assistance as needed.
  • Salam Air of Oman has announced the resumption of flights to Dammam, a key transit hub for travel into and out of the region via Saudi Arabia, on 1 April 2026.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its call for Thai nationals remaining in the Middle East to closely follow official updates, regularly assess their safety, and strictly adhere to official advisories.
  • A total of 1,501 Thai nationals have been assisted in departing from the Middle East to Thailand or to third countries.
