ตามที่เกิดเหตุการณ์ฝนตกหนักและอุทกภัยรุนแรงในเยอรมนี เนเธอร์แลนด์ เบลเยียม และลักเซมเบิร์ก ในห้วงวันที่ ๑๔ - ๑๖ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๔ นายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้มีข้อความแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าว ถึงนายไฮโค มาส รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเยอรมนี นางซิกริด กาก รักษาการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ นางโซฟี วีลแมส รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเบลเยียม และนายฌอง อัสเซลบอร์น รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศลักเซมเบิร์ก ดังนี้

It is with great sadness that I have learned of the numerous deaths, devastation and destruction caused by the storms and the worst floods in decades that have hit Western Germany recently.

I have the honour to extend to Your Excellency my sincerest sympathy and deepest condolences to you and to all those gravely affected by this catastrophe.

I am confident that Germany’s experiences in disaster management will bring rapid recovery to the affected areas and its people and hope that their livelihood will soon be restored to normalcy.
