เมื่อวันที่ ๑๒ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๘ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน จัดกิจกรรมจิตอาสาบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์และสาธารณกุศล เนื่องในวันคล้ายวันสวรรคต พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร (๑๓ ตุลาคม) และเพื่อรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว (๒๓ ตุลาคม)

ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมด้วยชุมชนไทยในกรุงเวลลิงตัน ร่วมกันทำความสะอาดและจัดระเบียบพื้นที่วัดธรรมประทีป อาทิ ล้างภาชนะ เก็บขยะ และจัดเก็บโต๊ะอุปกรณ์ต่าง ๆ เพื่อทำนุบำรุงศาสนสถานอันเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของชาวไทยในนิวซีแลนด์ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมกว่า ๑๕ คน

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวสะท้อนถึงความร่วมมือและจิตสำนึกสาธารณะของชุมชนไทยในต่างแดน ตลอดจนเป็นการถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่พระมหากษัตริย์ผู้ทรงคุณูปการต่อประเทศชาติ

On 12 October 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington organised a volunteer activity for public service and merit-making to commemorate Nawaminthara Maharaj Day (13 October), marking the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX), and to honour the legacy of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V) ahead of Chulalongkorn Day (23 October).

Embassy officials and staff, together with members of the Thai community in Wellington, joined in cleaning and organising Wat Dhammaprateep Buddhist Monastery, including dishwashing, waste collection, and arranging facilities. The activity, with over 15 participants, aimed to help preserve the temple as a spiritual and cultural centre for Thai Buddhists in New Zealand.

This initiative reflected the spirit of volunteerism and community service, while serving as a tribute to the enduring contributions of Thailand’s revered monarchs.
