เมื่อวันที่ ๒ ธันวาคม ๒๕๖๖ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ร่วมกับสายการบินเคนยาแอร์เวย์ แสดงซอฟต์พาวเวอร์ผ่านการแสดงนาฏศิลป์ของไทยภายในงาน Kenya Airways' Family Fun Day ณ สำนักงานใหญ่สายการบินเคนยาแอร์เวย์ กรุงไนโรบี โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำคณะนาฏศิลป์จากสถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนศิลป์มาแสดงภายในงานฯ ประกอบด้วย การแสดงรำซัดชาตรี มโนราห์บูชายัญ ระบำสุโขทัย และโขน โดยภายในงานนาย Allan Kilavuka ตำแหน่ง Managing Director และ CEO สายการบินเคนยาแอร์เวย์ได้กล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงานฯ กว่า ๓,๐๐๐ คนที่เป็นพนักงานและสมาชิกครอบครัวของสายการบินเคนยาแอร์เวย์ ซึ่งเป็นสายการบินแห่งชาติเคนยา และเป็นหนึ่งในสายการบินที่มีเครือข่ายเที่ยวบินมากที่สุดในภูมิภาคแอฟริกา อนึ่ง การแสดงนาฏศิลป์ของไทยภายในงานฯ ยังเป็นการร่วมเฉลิมฉลองการเปิดเที่ยวบินตรงกรุงไนโรบี-กรุงเทพฯ ครั้งแรกในรอบ ๓ ปี หลังจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-๑๙ คลี่คลาย โดยเที่ยวบินตรงระหว่างกรุงไนโรบี-กรุงเทพฯ จะเปิดโอกาสให้มีการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างประชาชนชาวเคนยาและชาวไทย และเป็นการส่งเสริมการค้า การลงทุน และการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างไทย-เคนยา-แอฟริกาในอนาคต
On 2 December 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi, in collaboration with Kenya Airways, organized the Thai traditional performance during Kenya Airways' Family Fun Day 2023 Event in Nairobi. In this regard, the Royal Thai Embassy led the performers from Bunditpattanasilp Institute of Fine Arts of Thailand to perform the Thai traditional dance during Kenya Airways' Family Fun Day 2023 Event. In this event, Mr. Allan Kilavuka, Managing Director and CEO of Kenya Airways delivered welcoming remarks, followed by the reception and the Thai traditional performance. There were approxiamately 3,000 particiapants from Kenya Airways' staff and family members attending this event.
Moreover, this event was also held to celebrate the resumption of direct flights of Kenya Airways between Nairobi and Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. These direct flights have been resumed after over 3 years of the COVID-19 pandemic. The direct flights will help boost the people's connectivity between Kenya and Thailand and foster the enhancement of trade, investment, and tourism between Kenya, Thailand, and the African continent in the future.
