เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ ๖๐ ปี ของการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างราชอาณาจักรไทยกับสาธารณรัฐชิลี วันที่ ๒๙ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๕ นายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และนางอันโตเนีย อูร์เรโฮลา โนเกรา (Antonia Urrejola Noguera) รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสาธารณรัฐชิลี ได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อความสารแสดงความยินดีระหว่างกัน ดังนี้

Excellency,
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I have the honour to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of the Republic of Chile on the auspicious occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Chile in 2022.

Thailand views Chile as a strong and valuable partner in our long-standing bilateral cooperation and regional engagements. Since the establishment of our diplomatic relations in 1962, the relations between our two countries have grown from strength to strength and expanded considerably in various areas of mutual interests. Notably, our two-way trade has expanded substantially, reaching over a billion US dollars last year, thanks to full utilisation of our comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.

To mark this 60-year milestone in our friendship, I am delighted that our two countries have jointly organised several commemorative activities which span from arts to academics as well as exchanges of high-level visits, including the 6th Thailand - Chile Political Consultations between our Foreign Ministries recently hosted by Thailand. I also wish to highlight the upcoming visit of the President of Chile and Your Excellency to the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) to be held in Bangkok this November, indeed, within a couple of weeks’ time.
As we celebrate this auspicious occasion, I wish to reassure Your Excellency of my determination to continue working closely with you and the Government of the Republic of Chile to advance our relations at both bilateral and multilateral levels, towards resilient and sustainable post-pandemic recovery and inclusive long-term growth, for our two nations as well as the region and beyond.

Lastly, I wish to extend my best wishes to Your Excellency and the people of Chile for the continued good health, prosperity and happiness in the years to come.

๒. สารจากรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศชิลี

Excellency,
On the occasion of the commemoration of the 60 years of diplomatic relations between Chile and Thailand, I would like to highlight this milestone, which arose from a relation that began on October 29, 1962.

During these six decades, we have managed to establish a relationship based in common interests such as free trade, a strong bilateral trade flow, promotion of investments and the participation in multilateral and global activities.

Furthermore, we have converged and continually exchange experience and best practices in different instances, like ASEAN and APEC.
In commercial matters, we reached a milestone by signing a Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force in November 2015. This agreement has allowed our countries to serve as regional platforms for the exchange of goods and services. Indeed, Thailand is our second trading partner within ASEAN member states.

I would also like to highlight the bilateral cooperation, which has been a central element in our relationship, through different initiatives, such as the successful program for the introduction of Chilean quinoa in Thailand.

Finally, I would like to reaffirm our commitment to continue strengthening our bilateral ties. I have absolute confidence that, thanks to our joint work, we will be able to face new matters, both at bilateral and multilateral levels, with challenges such as climate action, new technologies, energy transition, the development of the Green Hydrogen industry, electromobility and protection of the oceans.

I avail myself of this opportunity to express the assurances of my highest and most distinguished consideration.
