นายดอน ปรมัตถ์วินัย รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้มีสารแสดงความยินดีถึงนาย Jeremy Hunt รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหราชอาณาจักรคนใหม่ ซึ่งดำรงตำแหน่งแทนนายบอริส จอห์นสัน ที่ประกาศลาออก เมื่อวันที่ ๙ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๑ ดังนี้ 

 

Excellency, 

                  I have the honour and pleasure to extend to Your Excellency my sincere congratulations and warmest wishes on Your Excellency’s appointment as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom.

                  For over four centuries of our rich history of engagement and cooperation, the Thai – UK partnership has now developed into one of a strategic nature. The constructive discussion between our two leaders during the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Thailand to the UK has undoubtedly reaffirmed our common values and shared determination to work together on a number of issues, bilaterally, regionally and internationally. With this momentum in progress, I am therefore looking forward to working closely with Your Excellency to further strengthen our Strategic Partnership in all spheres. I am very much confident that your vast experiences and able guidance will ensure the successful undertaking of the UK’s visionary policy of Global Britain, which will be beneficial to our citizens, our respective regions and the international community. 

                  I wish to take this opportunity to convey my best wishes to Your Excellency for every success in your future endeavours.
